Hands-On! Gallery

The Junior League Hands-On! Gallery is an interactive gallery for children (and adults) to experience the fascinating world of the visual arts. The 1,800 square foot gallery offers visitors a hands-on opportunity to explore four general, formal qualities of art: line, color, shape, and texture.

  • Visitors are invited to:
l create animation with the zoetrope
l assemble puzzle shapes to re-create works of art
  • l construct an ever-changing sculpture on a six-foot Lego tower
l create artistic designs on one of four computers
l learn about mixing colors on the light table
l draw your self portrait at the mirror wall
l form a picture at the magnificent  magnet wall
l create oodles of doodles at the dry eraser board
l play with our incredible wooden blocks

The Junior League Hands-On! Gallery is a great place for Art Center visitors to explore, touch, learn, and have fun with the visual arts.
